Reweaving our Broken Connection to the Land and Our Ancestors
We begin with a deep dive into the core principles of Druidry. The course will cover the three aspects of druid training, exploring the gifts and crafts of the Bard, Ovate, and Druid. Each core craft works to reweave our soul connection to our ancestors and the land we live in. The goal is not to make every person a druid, but to learn how to craft a sacred relationship to the land, the people, and the Divine. This is the beginning of the path, not the end.
The first year will provide the apprentice many tools to re-explore the world around us and within us; helping regain that sense of wonder we had as children, dancing in the beauty of Nature, moving through the world guided by our curiosity and awe. Using a combination of ritual, discussion and practicum, we guide the apprentice in how to work intimately with Nature, how to craft a deeper, more wakeful relationship to the Earth and how to pinpoint their best gifts and skills to be in service for their own greater community. Using tools from Druidry, we wake up our soul. We learn to listen with our entire being. Reweaving our connection to the land and our personal cultural heritage, we find our place in the world.
Year One is a deeply transformational year. It offers the student an intense study into the world of Druidry and Nature-based spirituality. Providing experiential learning opportunities, each gathering is wrapped in ritual with study and mentoring between weekends. Year One includes rites such as the “Wren’s Nest”, Stone Spiral Rite, overnight Forest Vigil, seasonal celebrations and participating in the annual Weaving ritual. The final rite of the year is one of acknowledgment and witness to the progress made, but also a statement of what we intend for our lives moving forward from this course – not an ending, but rather the beginning.

Virtual monthly cohorts will be required for graduating Year One. 1:1 Mentorship is recommended and will be made available.
Year One studies include core principles and teachings of Druidry such as:
- Living with Honor and Ethics, Creating the Dialogue of Sacred Relationship
- Mud Roots and Blood Roots Ancestor Relation Building and Healing
- Animism, Spirits of Place, Working with the Nemeton
- Cycle of Creativity: Awen, Storytelling, Song, Poetry and Myth.
- The Cycle of Life and the “Wheel of the Year”, Rites of Passage
And practical, experiential learning opportunities including:
- Journeywork: Animal, Plant, Ancestral and Spirit Allies
- Creating Rites, Developing Celebrancy Skills, and Maintaining a Daily Practice
- Building and Tending Altars, Ritual Tools, Garb and Masks
- Overnight Forest Vigil
- Processes to pinpoint skills and gifts for community service.
Requirements (please read)
Filling out the Registration page will actually give you the best information on the requirements for the Year One Program. The Year One Program is NOT a Wicca 101 or Become a Druid in 6 Easy Lessons. We are aiming this towards the student who has already done spiritual work and exploration in any path and who wishes not only to make a deeper dive into spiritual life, but to take roles within their communities as teachers, clergy or any other role of foundational community commitment. We provide a relatively safe space in which to participate in our program (s), but within a framework that allows the student to push and surpass their boundaries. We expect the student to recognize their own sovereignty and responsibility for their own thoughts, perceptions, reactions and beliefs. Deep relationship, community building/maintenance and stewardship of all beings in most desperately needed now and we aim to provide the tools needed.
