Druid College - Seventh Annual Weaving - October 6, Buxton, Maine

The Weaving - What to Bring

Items for the altars

There will be a community altar. Please bring any item you wish to add to any of the altars. For those of you who have lost loved ones or wish to honor ancestors, there will be a large altar/table for photos and family heirlooms. Crafting the altars as a community is a powerful exercise, and together our altars will shine with beauty. Also please bring items for the tapestry we will weave during the day and evening: natural yarns, ribbons, feathers, flowers, cloth etc...

What to bring for the day:

  • All your pagan friends! Please invite them and ask them to register.
  • Enthusiasm!
  • Animal/Elemental masks for the mask trance dance
  • Drum or musical instrument for the drum circle
  • Ritual items that call to you
  • Seasonal clothing and/or special ritual clothing
  • A notebook and pen/pencil
  • Any art supplies you wish to bring
  • A camp chair
  • A blanket or shawl
  • A flashlight could be handy
  • A food dish to share for the feast
  • Snacks for yourself
